Lava Lamp, Installation View, 2022.

This sculpture encapsulates my protective nature of hiding my emotions from other and from myself. A lava lamp was something I had always wanted, a childish desire to watch blobs float up and down - out of reach behind glass. My blobs are in reach, but hide away what is inside them. They have soft exteriors to protect soft insides. Something to watch curiously, yet my pieces do not move. Frozen in a moment in time.
